About Rachel Jones
Over the course of her career Rachel has worked across settings and populations. Her early work involved counseling urban youth around substance use, and she later applied that experience to helping adults address addiction for thirteen years. She developed behavior modification skills while working with youth, families, and school staff in Hawaii, and supported displaced workers at Metropolitan Community College as they retrained for new careers. Rachel has also maintained a private practice for six years, concentrating on grief, anxiety, and transitions.
Rachel earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Missouri Western State University, where she began as a music major and developed an appreciation for cultural expression and community. She completed a Master of Science in Psychology at the University of Central Missouri. Outside of clinical work she enjoys nature walks, hiking, snorkeling, exploring new cultures, playing piano and flute, singing, dancing, and hosting game nights. She is close with her twin sister and family, and cares for two cats named Bob and Precious.
Rachel is not trained to treat trauma, and her licenses prevent her from working with anyone who has experienced a traumatic event. She is not currently accepting new clients and does not work with international clients.
