About Linda Sawrey
As an experienced registered nurse, Linda brings a holistic perspective that integrates mind, body and spirit when supporting clients who face health challenges alongside emotional difficulties. Her clinical interests include working with neurodivergent people, womens mental health and nervous system regulation, trauma and PTSD, anxiety and neurobiology, grief and bereavement, chronic pain and ageing, family violence recovery and rebuilding life after abuse, and workplace conflict, stress and burnout including carer fatigue.
Linda lives and practices in the Gold Coast Hinterland, where her private practice Nurtured by Nature Psychotherapy is located alongside Ricinda Ranch, a quarter horse stud. Surrounded by mares, foals and natural bushland, she creates a calm, grounding environment where clients can unravel, renew and begin to reignite their sense of wellbeing. Her own life story - growing up in a large farming family, early experiences of masking and bullying, and taking on caring roles during family illness - informs a compassionate, skills-focused approach aimed at helping people move from survival toward thriving.
Over many years Linda has worked across emergency nursing, patient safety, quality and risk, and psychotherapy roles, and she brings that breadth of experience to her therapeutic practice. She values building practical tools and resources with clients so they can navigate difficult circumstances and reconnect with purpose and belonging. Outside work she is closely connected to family life, including her three adult sons, grandchildren, two stepdaughters, one transgender son, and a committed partner.

Approach-Focused Online Therapy with Linda Sawrey
Linda commonly draws on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Attachment-Based and Client-Centered approaches, tailoring each method to the needs of the person in therapy. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, or ACT, helps people clarify what matters most to them and build psychological flexibility so they can take meaningful action even when difficult feelings arise. Attachment-Based Therapy explores relational patterns and early connection experiences to support healing around trust, closeness and boundaries. Client-Centered Therapy prioritizes the clients own perspective, offering empathic understanding and a nonjudgmental therapeutic relationship that supports self-directed growth.
Finding the right approach is part of the therapeutic journey, and Linda works collaboratively with clients to identify which methods best fit their goals, preferences and life circumstances. She combines therapeutic skills with lived and professional experience to adapt interventions as needs evolve.
Online sessions via video, phone, live chat or text messaging make it possible to maintain continuity of care, fit therapy around busy schedules, and access support from home or other comfortable settings. These formats offer flexibility for people managing work, family, health or geographic constraints while still engaging in meaningful, evidence-informed therapy with a licensed professional.
