Clinical Approaches and How Online Therapy Works
Debbie Harris uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify unhelpful thoughts and patterns and develop practical skills for reducing anxiety, managing mood, and improving daily functioning. This approach is often used for anxiety, depression, and stress-related concerns because it focuses on changing thinking and behavior to create measurable improvement.
She also applies Solution-Focused Therapy, a goal-oriented method that emphasizes clients' strengths and small, achievable steps toward change. Solution-Focused Therapy is useful for resolving immediate problems, improving relationships, and supporting people through life transitions by building on what is already working.
Finding the right approach is part of the therapeutic process. Debbie works collaboratively with each person to determine which methods fit their needs, goals, and preferences, adjusting strategies over time to support progress and resilience.
Online therapy offers flexibility and accessibility by allowing sessions by video calls, phone, live chat, or text-based messaging. These options make it easier to schedule care around work, family, or other commitments and can help maintain continuity of support when in-person visits are not practical.
